County Proposed Truck Maintenance Facility Plans Shelved

Today I received notification from the County Executive that plans for a Truck Maintenance Facility scheduled for the Ag Center have been scrapped. Instead, I am told that the equipment will be placed at already existing Department of Public Works sites. This is fantastic news for our community.

I was deeply opposed to the proposed placement of the truck maintenance facility at the Ag Center and expressed this sentiment to the county executive and other members of the administration.

I am extremely appreciative that Baltimore County Government listened to the input of the affected community, and its elected representatives, and made this change based off of the community’s concerns. Government works best when it is open, transparent, and sensitive to the interests of the people that they serve.

I would like to thank Delegates Chris West and Sue Aumann, and Senator Brochin for their important help in this effort at the State level.
