Last week, the County Council approved the purchase of 24.5 acres of property in the Dulaney Valley to preserve as recreational open space and parkland. This land is located on the west side of Dulaney Valley Road, north of Timonium Road, and south of Stella Maris Drive (aka Loch Raven Road) in Lutherville-Timonium.
As you may know, the entire property in question was the subject of the Comprehensive Zoning Map Process (3-062) in which I rejected a proposal to add significant development to this area.
This proposed development was also vehemently opposed by the Pot Spring and Springlake Communities.
I am very pleased that a significantly sized portion of the property will now be preserved in perpetuity as a recreational park and green space. Preservation and expanding recreational facilities continues to be a major priority of mine as your councilman. #savepotspring #savedulaneyvalley
