I am pleased to share fantastic news of another significant expansion of broadband for northern Baltimore County. This expansion will bring high-speed internet access to more than 850 homes. Combined with last year’s grant to Comcast, broadband services will soon reach more than 1,700 new residences in the County.
This is a significant milestone in our collective efforts to close the rural digital divide. I am thankful for the continued partnership with County Executive Olszewski, along with the active and organized advocacy of the North County Community Group in this effort.
While this is an important marker, I know that there are other areas in need of broadband. The administration and I remain committed to closing the gaps in coverage.
