For seventeen years, Marcie Goodman has served the people of Baltimore County’s Third District with dedication, distinction, and class.
Entering public service for then Councilman T. Bryan McIntyre, Marcie has been a stalwart in the community and County government. She has dealt with many obstacles while serving the citizens of the Third District, and in doing so, Marcie is a shining example of persistence and grit.
No matter where I go, the people of the Third District ask about Marcie and her family. They have been so moved by her love, affection, caring and charity.
It is with this in mind, that I thank Marcie for all that she has done for the District as she enters retirement. From her work on preservation, to her highly personable constituent service, to her vital work in the preservation of survivor stories from the Holocaust, Marcie’s influence and effectiveness can never be fully quantified. She has left an indelible legacy in Baltimore County and, indeed, the world.
As she enters another phase in her life, I wish her the very best. Not only is she an excellent public servant, more importantly, she is a friend and confidante. On behalf of the people of the Third District and Baltimore County, thank you Marcie!

Beautiful tribute to a well-deserving public servant. I’ve seen Marcie at work and I can affirm that she put 100% of herself in service for the citizens of the Third District and Baltimore County.
Wishing her the best as she moves forward and thanking her for all she’s done.
